CONCEPT

£vagance has inspired from the relationship between mundane, kitsch and extravagance in relation to fashion and projection mapping. This anti-extravagance fashion campaign resolves the problem of luxury branding. My starting point were existing fashion brands and I explored the ludicrousness of luxury branding.

MAKING OF

Then 3D modelled these objects in Rhino, fully covered with Swarovski diamonds. I later on exported the models into C4d to animate those objects.

The final stage of the design process was to cast mundane objects and bring it into a physical world to use it in a fashion collaboration* with costume designer Anne Sophie Cochevelou.

MOODBOARD

We live in a physical world and everyone represents themselves with certain qualities. I was interested in embedding luxury branding in the mundane to explore what is luxury and the state of being luxurious. As a simple way to convey ludicrousness of this state, I picked daily objects such as hammer, U.K. plug, screwdriver, spanner and electrical switch.
